Thanks! Yes, Shakira was her shelter name and we kept it, it just fit. She's Tortie spicey and pretty. The cool thing is that she completely bonded with me and follows me wherever I go. It's been eight years now and estimate Shakira is ~ 10 years old. Polydactyle too. She gets over-stimulated with movement plus doesn't like to be petted below the neck. Hence, I think she was abandoned. It's hard to resist petting her and she'll take a swipe at you. Ironically I am the one that gets away with it. Cats have staff, they got us figured out.

Little bug killers nappy time...

Olive is a sweet small 7 lb, lightning fast ~ 15 year old cat. She is a ferocious hunter. She's slowing down these days. This picture is about two years old. She's clearly annoyed and has that rare "eye of the tiger" look. There's been up to 5 rodents on the porch after a night of hunting. I keep her indoors at night now, getting too old to stay out of trouble.

This was from a month ago. Don't know why it took me so long to figure out, but our cat would like to hang out in the garage, often lounging on the roof of one of the cars, indifferent to heat and humidity. There were times I couldn't find him, though. Should have known, back in the darkest corner of our garage, where my scooter is parked..... the lights came on when I was outside with him and he hopped into his seat.....

This is Milly, who today is celebrating her 13th birthday!! I've had her since she was found as a stray, someone left her in a cardboard box out on the street..

A neighbor moved from 2 houses away to a couple hundred yards up the road. Her calico cat had five kittens... eventually I persuaded the "owner" to come get the kittens. But she claimed not to be able to catch or trap the mama. So she's been living here since late June, making herself right at home, and of course we feed her. It's working for both of us, but when we leave Sept. 20th, we'll take her back to her original family!

Those calicos are bossy. You might not have a choice in returning her! 😁
