So I was doin a quick change of a shifting cross and when I got the cases apart I noticed what seems like a metric shit ton of play in my gear cluster. I searched but couldn't find the spec for how loose the stack should be.

I also was wondering what the measurement for the gear selector box pivot was. I know I've seen a picture of it, just can't find the dang thing. Just want to make sure I have the right box on her.

I think acceptable slop is like .15 to .45mm (Use feeler gauges to measure.)

You can buy oversize shims to get properly sorted:

To test the space use two feeler guage tools and place them under the shim washer. The allowable slack limit is 0.50mm (0.020 in). Oversizes are: Stock - 2.05mm (0.081in), 1st oversize - 2.20mm (0.087in), 2nd oversize - 2.35mm (0.093in), 3rd oversize - 2.50mm (0.098in), 4th oversize 2.65mm (0.104in). Once everything is in good condition, replace all the gears, the washer and the circlip. Then continue to reassemble the engine cases or continue to fix problems in the engine.

RE: selector box... read the info about halfway down this thread... no pics but that may be what you are looking for?

Repaced Selector Box, Now I'm Popping Out of Gear.
