Thinking some from Virginia , and both Carolinas might be interested in riding some rides when warmer temps are upon us. Rides such as the back of the dragon, the tail of the dragon , portions of the blue ridge pkwy, civil war sights. Pretty much anyplace two three or more might want to go to. Those that may be interested could reach me at ho11pe@aol.com. Contact info would be welcome.

You should come to this one, we do day rides out of Maggie Valley! Last time we had over 30 riders IIRC. Most are retire, (properly aged) and the riding is excellent. We have more Vespas showing up than any other brand. All are welcome, Winn will announce the dates sometime in the spring. Hope you and a few others will come.

If you are down around the Deagon might could meet up for lunch as that's a day ride from Knoxville.

thought the visitor center would be a good place to end or begin a ride there. I would like to have at least one that has ridden any particular rides to lead the ride as my riding has been done mostly in the north east, thinking it would be safer that way. I will ride it this year and would welcome such a meet up. Are you thinking the back of the dragon or the tail of the dragon or both? Knoxville app 250 miles from me been there often delivering products to dealers, that is a good days ride there and back through some real nice twisty roads.

ty, I will keep it in mind. I one time would think nothing of hoping on my bike early in the day and arrive home having put 4,5,or 6 hundred miles. This year I will be testing my body to see what abuse I can get away with and still get out of bed the next morning. learning for me will surely
not arrive without some pain. thanks for the link, "scooter gathering " does appear to describe the type of trips I am imagining. gonna check out Maggie Valley location and sights that might be of interest going and coming from there.

In the spring I will be doing conditioning rides to get ready for the cannonball so I'm pretty flexible looking a 250-400 mile days as a round trip from east Knoxville.
