My buddy brought them a few days before i broke my foot, so they have sat for the past 9 months. I'll get that whole area cleaned out this spring (when my foot starts feeling better). My shop is like greasy's shop...i'm trying to get all my junk consolidated to that i can install my new to me 2 post hydraulic lift...but there currently is no space for it.

there was some serious mental vibes right there. I'd forgotten to mention a utility sink and you must've plucked my physic waves from the ether. definitely get a tap that has a standard and spray toggle... it'll come in handy!

Get a threaded tap so you can hook a hose up to it.

that's no shop bathroom! where's the magazine cut outs on the walls? the stack of mags? a trashcan that is comically oversized for the space and totally and utterly overflowing with all manner of nonsense from empty brake clean cans to fast-food wrappers and a printer that somebody raged out on? and the mop bucket.

mirror needs some splash back and stickers too!

Now we now what Greasy is getting you as a shopwarming gift! I agree, though, that's waaay to pretty to be a shop bathroom. Or is your plan to let it develop its patina naturally over time? If so, I have some stickers I'm not using at the moment...

Their all jealous like me. My last shop bathroom had a full size shower, hot tub, toilet, sink, two tub SS deep sink from a restaurant and heated tile floor. Built it all myself, then we moved 😭

Floor was filthy. They don't allow washing tho! So I snuck in on a Sunday when it was raining...

squeegeed it down with some warm soapy water too.

Thought the rain would cover my tracks - but it was like the Missippi delta out my door. Think they'll notice?

Neighbor stopped by and saw me Dremeling the holes individually - just shook his head - and went back to his shop. Here first pass had started



Shop is coming together. So much to do still - but have about 1/2 the space in working order, wired, cleaned, and ready for action. K - don't judge yet - charm still to come.

Looks great so far! And I think all new tenants should get one unscrutinized floor washing, right? Seems fair...

man, I can't even imagine how long that would take to clean with a mop and a bucket...

my 1st shop had a floor done up like an airplane hangar. it was wonderful and white. while cleaning it wasn't difficult it was a never ending task. it would get dirty if you just looked at it funny.

btw, is that a HF grinder/buffer stand? if so, tread carefully they're a little tippy if not secured to the floor.

The workshop is looking great, CM2! I can't wait to spill some fluids on that nice clean floor!

I don't know what I'd do if I had that much space to work in. Actually, I do know...I'd fill it up with scooters and scooter-related crap.

Indeed - the amount of scooters and scooter related crap directly relates to how much room you have and the depth of the ever changing scooter fund or S + Sc =R + $

That base is actually a jet base and its solid as a rock.
However - as you suggest - bigger space comes with bigger repercussions.
Scrapes can be gouges.
The ladder I use is 14' tall - wouldn't really wanna fall off that.
In my garage with its 6' ladder - I could just hop to the side - if it tipped too much.

The 460 3 phase doesn't come with a ground fault interrupter.
I'm trying to apply a bit more discipline to my game - which - may sound oxy-moronic™ to some. 🙂

Cant wait to get back at it and start charming it up a bit.
