When ever I get deliveries without fountain drinks, I get to play with my low speed cornering. Carving up parking lots and subdivisions with counter leaning is a blast.

I believe the correct term here is "chicken strips".

when I've just been riding the twistys this is what they look like

I love my little Roughhouse 50 on tight 35mph posted roads in my beach town. I take tough corners at 40ish with huge pickup trucks dragging my ass all the time. I have a certain corner that makes then back off 100% of the time. My tires are rubbed. Heidenau K61s. A good tire imparts confidence.

It's not a meaningful measure on my GTS, considering I'll scrape the crash bars before I wear into a chicken strip.

However, considering I just spent a week on a rental, touring a country with uncambered roads and oversized pickup truck drivers who don't bother lane keeping around blind corners, I don't feel bad about these.

I'm overdue on updating the Tales From Asia thread. (Those things take a long time to write. I'm not sure how much I'm writing for you guys, and how much I'm writing for myself; but either way, I do wonder if it's worth it. I don't wanna just be adding noise here.)

But all-in-all, I was pretty happy with the Click 160. It was fast, agile, and felt safe. Could have been more comfortable (which is always true), and would have appreciated more storage, but I'm very satisfied with my decision on the rental. I never thought "I wish this thing would go faster," although there were definitely some steep bits where I had the throttle wide open and it was doing its adorable best.

When I still had the Scrambler, this was easily solved: a few rounds at the nearest sand pit, almost rear sprocket deep in soft sand and I guarantee the rear tyre looked used right down to the wheel

I have noticed that the width of the chicken strips grow at about the same rate as your belly as you age.

Therefore its easy to match scooters with owners at a rally by comparing these two features. Truly grand guts usually have a solid narrow flat down the centre of the tire and really huge "bandes de poulet".
