1. check fuses with a multimeter
2. disconnect the battery for several seconds (or more).

PS yes seeing the back light suggests its unlikely to be fuses but is a good place to start anyway.

Not sure what a 66plate means, but if the battery is more than 3 years old then consider it as done as a thanksgiving turkey.

Voltage is a meaningless measure. It's all about the amps. A battery that is almost completely discharged will still show around 12Volt.

Surely even if the battery is not very good it should still bring up the dash board lights it may not start it ?, but all the displays lights and lcd screen are all led and don't need a lot of amps but I've got nothing up at all it's a 2016/17

It's the 'age identifier' - the third and fourth digits of the number plate.
It means the vehicle was first registered between Sep 1st 2016 and the end of Feb 2017.
It bears no relationship to the date of manufacture, nor to any North American 'model year' scheme.

Where did you get the keys that you are using with the bike if the originals are gone? The keys do contain an electronic component that is linked to the dash computer and ECU; otherwise it wont work or run right. A new electronic system for the bike with linked keys is probably going to cost more than the machine is worth unless you just really invested in returning an older bike to service.

The key is only linked to the throttle body ,I am an auto locksmith even if there was no chip in the key the dash should still light up when you turn the bike on it just won't turn the imoblizer off
