I just installed a used Akro and was not provided the Exhaust Clamp. The original Vespa OEM is to large in circumference. I did not measure it last night, and now I am sitting here at work trying to order off of Amazon, and don't know what the actual size should be.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Probably fake carbon if you search enough

I suspect a plastic clamp is a bad idea on a hot exhaust pipe.

Looks like his photo is NOT the OEM clamp but a replacement he has also found. Just an FYI.

It isn't a replacement though, as it doesn't evenly clamp all the way round. Noise and early failure guaranteed.

That is a rediculous price for a clamp, however I may be forced to go with the OEM price tag, I am very skeptical of the Ali Express clamps. I am riding this bike from Seattle to San Clemente, then accross to South Carolina and back this summer. I need it to be high quality, even if it is a clamp. I don't need any leaks and will probably need to change the rear tire a couple of times along the way, so easy install and uninstall is a must.

Anyone have any experience with the Chinese clamps?

I've ordered CVT belts and LED headlight bulbs from Aliexpress, and found both to be very high quality. Truth be known, anywhere you purchase that clamp from has likely sourced it from China.

I'm using that aliexpress clamp happily for almost 3 years on my arrow exhaust.

if you buy from many other places like amazon or ebay you'll get exactly the same clamp quality.

if you're paranoid just buy a couple as they're so cheap

not comment on if akro actually have their clamps hand made by the world's best craftsman.

PS when installing the clamp - regardless of which - I strongly recommend using anti seize on it including on the thread (pretty sure even Robot does this in his video)

The odds are the Akro clamps are made in Slovenia or somewhere nearby. Many of the Leo Vince exhausts are made in Poland now, and there's a lot of "old school" manufacturing that was done in Western Europe that has relocated to the East. What is the diameter of the Akro clamp? I have these ones here taking up space, and, since it's for a good cause, I'll send you a couple of any of them, if you think it will work. That way, you'll have a back up if one breaks. The one without a bolt is particularly robust. They are all smaller than the stock clamp.
