Hi there I have been and gone through with the small up Grade on my PX Vespa l have put my drilled air filter on and up the main jet to a 98 !! and took her for a few miles today and I have noticed a good difference it's a lot more responsive though the gear's and on the get go no boging so far still on standard set up just without the cat part on the exhaust !! So I will give her a good run on Sunday morning 10+ miles and see what is what still got the sip road 2 in the box waiting for me to get down and put it on !! Not as young as l once was and getting to the ground is hard work for me !! Any tips on how to make life easier changing out a exhaust system much appreciated ✊

Thread the bolt into the floating nut by finger. Be patient. It'll dance until you're lucky Fully seat that bolt in the threads (don't torque it), then tap it up into the stub on the other side with a heavy hammer until the tone changes. Torque that bastard to spec. 14-16 ft-lbs Go back to the swingarm bolt and torque that bastard to spec. 30-35 ft-lbs Best of luck! |

Look nice one mate and that's the best bit of info l have had about setting up the exhaust system so far !! I only have one car Jack and one Axel Jack so using the stand method look good to me 🤟 soulboy74 ready for the English spring weather. Just wondering about setting l have a PX 2015 125 cc l have removed the cat part of the exhaust system and replacement manifold to the box and drilled out the air filter 5/8 mill's and up the main jet to a 98 and it's going a little bit better more responsive just wondering if this setup sounds good to go 👍 love to hear from you guys soulboy74

One easy test is to find a junction/lights where you can pull away and accelerate wide open from 1st to 3rd. By the time you're well into 3rd gear, look for a marker, like a road sign. And take note of the Speedo reading. Keep upping the size of the main jet until it starts to go slower by the road sign. And put it back to the jet that goes fastest. |

Living the dream you lucky GI stay lucky 🌈 soulboy74 Remove both cowls Remove battery and spare tyre, if so equipped Fully loosen the exhaust clamp at the cylinder Get a thick wood plank covered with a pillow or blanket and carefully lay the scooter on the right side flloorboard over the plank/blanket Loosen all 5 nuts of the back wheel and remove the wheel for optimal clearance -you may have enough clearance to leave wheel on but slightly wiggle it as you do next step Now you can fully remove the exhaust flange bolt and wiggle the exhaust off. As far as drilled air filter, I was skeptical of this mod, but I did it, leaving the exhaust alone (not catalyzed in 1985), as well as the original jetting in its entirety. The result? Nice improvement in acceleration in all throttle positions, and at least 5 mph extra top speed. |
