My sweet Verde Amabile GTS has consistently been getting 80+ miles per gallon!

Im not sure if I just feel more calm with this color or what but 80+mpg is pretty good. The others are getting between 64-70 and Im never in a particular hurry.

I love this color. Im going to try to have Vespa Motorsport add the Vespa Mia functionality (bluetooth) option on the first service.

Nice!

80 for my 2020 is a solid day of mountain touring. Getting that consistently is impressive!

I am very partial to the "relaxed" green livery of Amabile, my own GT200 has a similar color (Verde Vintage), those are some very nice images, thanks for sharing them. How are you measuring fuel efficiency? Are you just calculating based on fuel fills and miles turned?

Thanks.

Hi Bob, yep, I calculate the amount of fuel versus miles traveled etc. The display is fairly accurate.

80mpg on a new 2023 HPE2 motor is epic. Maybe it's the dry desert air of Palm Springs or a strong tail wind, but that is really solid mpg!

I have no doubts. I've got the 2022 and have similar results. Commuting, driving to Mississippi (from B'ham), and playing tag on another board.
I'm also one that hasn't used any oil and haven't had to add air to my tires. Go figure. I'm approaching 3k miles now. Hoping it doesn't change.

What kind of riding are you doing? WOT? Or riding around town at 45 miles an hour?

It must be very gentle riding - I get about 45 mpg on my '10 GTS. But that's around town, riding like I stole it...

I have Koso heated grips, and during the winter I use them every ride. I noticed my mileage drops from ~70 to 68 and below with the Koso's on.

My bike is 2012 Super, only time I got high 70's was when I got it. For like one tank.

Is that the only 2 choices? Facepalm emoticon
I don't do jackrabbit starts. The lowest was 77 mpg going on a almost 400 miles trip with 220 miles on freeway driving 65 mph indicated and 55 on the remaining 2 lane rural roads.

I looked on fuelly and you can clearly see differences in riding style two GTS 300s both with nearly 3,000 miles logged on the website. One averages 82 mpg and the other 58mpg.

On my 2006 GTS I averaged 76. My 2018 averaged a couple mpg lower after break-in. I'm looking forward to seeing what I get on my 2023.

I'm getting about 55mpgs on a 2018 GTS,
usually double up on fast moving, steep hilly roads

I just completed a 2300km road trip on my HPE and my fuel use was 32km/l. This is a fun mix of lots of mountains, gravel roads, smaller highways and less fun - a few big freeways / interstates. Everything except city driving.

This is typical km/l for my country riding whereas my city riding averages around 26km/l but this varies a lot for obvious reasons.

And I ride it like I stole it

Now since it's an hpe I better check the oil once I've finished unpacking

EDIT: removed the mpg conversions rather than worry about US vs Imperial

You are probably using miles/imperial gallon against the OP miles/US gallon. The 80 sounds staggeringly good with little US gallons. Since I bought my 2017 GTS she has averaged 3.5l/100km or 28km/l or 80mp imperial gall or 67mp US gallon. (All numbers are whole numbers other than l/100km)

Good point, I just typed it into Google and used the first conversion page listed and didn't think about that.

Probably even better fuel efficiency with that new headset
