2009 fly 50. I have a Tecnegas GP4 exhaust with a db installed and wondering if I should remove the DB silencer or keep it on since I installed a 80 cc big bore kit. Thanks.

A DB killer is mostly for noise reduction. shouldn't really hurt things with it in or out. so I would say, take it out and be your own judge. its fun to experiment.

Removing the DB killer will make the scooter very loud. Your neighbors will hate you!
There are usually alternative DB killers available for a little more sound, a deeper note, etc.

Thanks for responses. I'm happy the way it sounds now. Just thought the delete would free up the scooter more. Thanks

I had a GPR Vintaology exhaust on my 2010 FLY with 190 kit. The db killer blew out one day and the bike became VERY loud...basically running a straight pipe.

I'd say it's up to you what noise level you can tolerate. My clubmates did not like it when riding with them though.

Thanks. I'm happy with the noise now. I was thinking of doing solely for performance. So if it doesn't make a difference I'm gonna keep the db in. Thanks everyone for the replies.
