Hi everyone glad to be hear and looking forward to talking to you all 👍 I'm new to the scootering scene so please bare with me for what might seem some silly questions.
I've just purchased a lml star 2t which I'm loving but as everyone one does want to make my own with decals and stuff nothing major just a change but the one thing I'm struggling to find is the paint code for it,
I've come across a max meyer code which is 1.298.6399 but no one seems to use this code to mix a tin of spray up for me, it's probably been asked loads but does anyone know where I could get the correct code from please.
Thanks in advance Alex.
This is the colour and max meyer code just thought this might help

To say this up front: there is a possibility that Vespa and LML have not used the same paint!

Info about the paint Piaggio 399 Verde Pastello

Paint data

Manufacturer: Piaggio
Color code: 399
Color name: Verde Pastello
Painted: 1968 to 1975

The Vespapaint is available from the following paint manufacturers:

Lechler
Glasurit (color name: VERDE)
Mipa (color name: VERDE )

This is a glossy solid color paint. Please note: A clear coat must be applied over two-coat or three-coat base coats!

Halfords will mix you rattle cans or touch-up tubes, using the Piaggio/Vespa code 399.

I checked again: Vespa/Piaggio and LML do not have identical colors. That means you have to look for the LML color!

You should find the color code of an LML on the type plate or in the service booklet of the scooter.

Found a List of LML paintcodes: https://www.scooter-center.com/media/pdf/92/6d/b5/Farbcodes_LML_c10.pdf

Do you know the manufacture of the paint they use?
We use PPG in the shop I am working at and no Piaggio/Vespa paint codes come up as a match in our system.

And now that we know we have the paint and you can either order the touch-up pencil or get the paint mixed by a paint shop of your choice: I would refrain from using touch-up pens or otherwise trying to do it yourself, most of the time it looks crappier afterwards than the actual scratch. A Vespa uh LML may quietly have some patina!

Cheers!

That is a good point the spray can is not for any of the body panels as these are OK but I'm wanting to change the wheels and paint the hubs tha same as the bike I've seen some pics and they look quite good to be fair, I know it personal choice and if it doesn't look good I'll just go back to the normal hubs 😂😂👍👍

Thanks again for all your help 👌👍

Any reasonable paint shop can perform a color analysis with a digital spectrophotometer. This also allows production tolerances and changes in the existing paint due to environmental influences to be taken into account in order to remix a paint.

You're welcome!

Sorry, that I have taken that in the wrong. The "you are so wise" sounds a bit exaggerated to my German ears... you know, we Germans are always so serious and have no humor... 😎

Whatever you end up getting painted: I'm happy to see before/after photos!
