Does anyone know the limitations on how much load can be added to a GTS250 electrical system?

I've always gone by a rule of thumb of 4A for 125/150cc, 8A for 250/300, and 12A for 400/500cc as the spare capacity. How rooted in fact this is I don't know, but I haven't killed a battery by using those figures.

So ~100W for a 250.

Thanks Jim. Plenty of room as I have only added a USB port to charge phone, gps, aux led light bar. Also lowered load by replacing headlight with led one

Replace the tail light and running light too and you'll save even more. I did all of the running light swaps on my s150 and the difference was enough I could run heating grips and only be loading roughly the same watts the bike would have originally required when stock.

Someone in a YouTube comment told me that removing too much load could prematurely fry my voltage regulator... Don't know electrical well enough to know if that's true.

You're exactly who I was hoping would see that and chime in. Thanks JimC.
