Thanks for the well-wishes, Bill. However, given my recent near-misses (twice) as a pedestrian, not to mention my numerous hits/injuries via bicycle, maybe i should just be a shut-in.

I love the ride way too much. so, barring any other events (or, hey even a change of mind/heart), I intend to ride again.

Update: Had three surgeries today, both wrists and my right femur (think the last scene from the Coen Brothers' No Country for Old Men…yep, that grisly), and all went well. Will spend he better part of two months off my feet, then a final bit o' surgery to make certain I don't spend my remaining years walking like a pirate. In other words: as good as can be, so far.

And: Yes, another But I Didn't See You incident, but I saw it all this time, as did a witness. Driver did admit fault.

Onward.

It doesn't really matter whose at fault here, the fact remains that riding for you has ended up in personal injury and the loss of two/three scooters and you want to put yourself at risk again ?

If you were putting your hand in the blender and turning it on I'd suggest that you'd stop because it really hurt the last time.

This is exactly the same. Please stop riding because each time you do the results will be repeated and the people around you will be affected by it.

Your misfortunes could be the actions of others or it could just be you and an inability to ride in a competent manner . If it's the latter then you should walk away from this as it doesn't bode well for you and your limbs.

One of the things that helps heal faster after one is past 25, is to cut back on sugars, have ginger, onion, turmeric in your diet. These tend to make the blood flow better and reduce inflammation.
