We upgraded the site because square payment module for the version we were running was no longer supported, and the URL module that makes nice, easy to understand urls is not supported on the new version of the site. The site is on a platform that isn't used a lot anymore, so there's not a lot of development of modules for it. So we've been trying to make that work, and it's caused issues and errors elsewhere. If you click on a link that you find on the internet, the odds are you will get a 404 notice. So we have to edit the 404 page with a search window.
The new plan as of yesterday is to keep the site like it is, because it is stable, and migrate to a new platform that's used in about 1/3 of all ecommerce sites. That should take a few weeks, hopefully.
