For those BGM curious for LML cases-
The cylinder is nearly a match. I have TIG welded the cases for 100%.

Mine said I'm done at 3500 miles.

I'm no expert but I'd hit that rebuild sooner than later considering the possibility of damage.
The big end bearing cage on mine disintegrated and luckily stuck the engine but when I took it apart there were bits everywhere you'd expect to find them. Thankfully no damage. Plus...look at this bit of kit. Absolutely gorgeous. Had to just look at it while I wait for a couple bits. qascooter wrote: Yikes - I'm at 4,700 miles and counting.

Thanks for the heads-up guys. It looks like this should happen sooner, rather than later.
I'll start planning.... |

No pics, but i had two different 05 Stellas. One crank lasted about 2800 miles the other one lasted closer to 2300.

I was never exited about the old small block racing cylinders from 10~20 years ago, so i never paid them any notice whatsoever. But with the advent of the newer smallblock touring kits, i'm thinking i should strip the cases down and have you weld them up a bit. I have an 8" scooter in mind that could use a little bit of "motorvation". Basically i'm after a small block cylinder kit that will have the same power, torque level, cruising speed, top speed, and of course reliability as a stock P200...not a tuned 200, but just a stock 200.

I don't like that feeling, certainly not for road riding. I'd be glad to post some more detailed pics of the kit of anyone is interested. Waiting for a gear stack shim to finish the install.

I think the wealth of information in that link alone is a testament to the level of BGMs products. |

You can't go wrong when ordering from SC or SIP. i would recommend ordering from shops Stateside. you know, the type of shops that can help with installation directions and technical know-how. . . .and even help with any issues that may occur. as they say- loyalty gets loyalty.

Naah, I do everything I can to keep it close to home.
Well, maybe not everything because there are places closer to me but I really, really, REALLY, appreciate and like the Scooter Market, or ScooterMercato, so most of my money is spent there. David and Matt have helped me out many times, and are cool dudes. I hope to shake their hands one of these days!
