Just got back from a successful shakedown ride! About 40 miles or so. Still some fine tuning to do on jetting the top end, but this thing rips!!!
First fuel up with clear gas of course

Long time since update here, with a few miles put on this build since then.
The latest and greatest is that after a bit of a long ride yesterday, the exhaust pipe header cracked and split apart. Thankfully within pushing distance of home, so the hassle of it all wasn't really a hassle at all. That said...there may be more going on here; so I will dive deeper. For reference the expansion chamber pipe is an SIP Performance Racing Exhaust 2.0, made by Jim Lomas. https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/product/racing-exhaust-sip-performance-20-material-steel-clear-coated-carbon-silencer-color-silencer-carbon_22130CA?usrc=Racing+Exhaust+200cc A refresh on the Engine specs: 60 stroke mazzy bell crank, Malossi sport cylinder, with wider/taller exhaust port work, port timings: 129°/187°=29°blowdown, 28ccc head by Al Harpman, bgm reed block on mrp inlet, Dell phbh 30: 55 idle/x13 needle/ 148 main (? have to check), Vape variable ignition. Since I've put some miles on, and also feel there is more going on here, I'll be diving deeper and will report back
Dont do Crack!

Depending on the atomiser size, that jetting could be a little under. Especially if set up by someone who races bikes. Exhaust looks like it's been getting to hot. Does it vibrate noticeably more when pulling hard? |

Does it vibrate noticeably more when pulling hard? Agreed the jetting is probably on the lean side right now. I have had it richer than that before this weekend, so perhaps I dropped it down a bit too much. I've been going back n forth on the jetting as I've been out, and put on the most road miles over the past few days since being built. I'm going to richen up all circuits and work back down again. I'll check the attomizer, I think its 266 Temps are steady at 260-270+/-, creeping up to 300 if really thrashing it wot for a stretch; and then drops right back down to the steady zone. Trailtech sensor under the top inside stud. ⚠️ Last edited by GeekLion on UTC; edited 1 time

First quick observation - the exhaust mounting bracket that attaches to the swingarm was loose, so much so that with the header pipe disconnected the main body (the heavy part) of the pipe can move and flop around like a fish.
I'm sure this contributed to the breakage, as there is only so much flex with the spring mounting. |

If that means mid cruise is at 320F under the plug, then that explains the blueing. |
