I wasn't familiar with them, but they appear to be lashing straps. Which is find for what you are doing, if they are the cam buckle version and not the ratchet version. I haven't used them to tie down a scooter, but I see the advantages if you have a canyon dancer or handlebar straps, and they're certainly cheap enough at $2 each for the 1 inch wide ones at HF.
With the endless loop being a closed circle, the bike can't get away, you can leave slack in it, it can lean, compress, move around, but never fall, so there is absolutely no reason not to get a ratchet ended one.

You just have to be aware that with these straps you don't need to compress the suspension whatsoever.

All demonstrated in my video above.

I am new here, but my wife and I are both going to have Vespas (She has a 150 primavera and I will have a gts super soon). We wanted to have a trailer that would work for both but be small and fold upright for storage. We ordered a Kendon scooter trailer. They are pricey, but I love that they are USA made and so compact and have good wheels/bearings/suspension.

My 2 cents: I have moved many bikes and tried many different methods. I recently picked up a Vespa GTS 300 3 hours away and used the methods in this video with Robot:
It worked perfectly and was the easiest way by far.

Steelbytes has already explained it. But I can add something else. This unfortunately happened to a friend of mine. A van backed up onto a country road and touched the towing vehicle and trailer on the right side, so the rig dragged along the van. The Vespa was secured with a solid bracket over the running board. Nevertheless, it jumped out of the rail at the back. The Honda Helix was only braced in the front with two straps over the handlebars, there was only one strap in the back, but unfortunately it was only through the wheel and not lashed down. Unfortunately the Helix fell over and flipped onto the Vespa. In a rear-end collision, it would probably have flipped up to the front, although both bikes were in an L-rail at the front. Towing vehicle (rear axle hit), trailer, 2022 Vespa and Helix are all total losses unfortunately.

Do not neglect the load securing, no matter with what you transport your bike (or whatever)!

Well it's official. @vespatorontowest blessed me with the phone call today at 10:56am this morning that they received the VIN # for my 2023 Vespa GTS 300 Supertech (blue) from Vespa in Pontedera, Pisa, Italy. It's been 6 months 2 weeks and 3 days since I ordered it! Thank you Lou for making me so happy… and delivering it. Pics next week

It looks like I'm not going to be Adrian, but I think I've got something percolating in the future that I might be there in a more regular basis.

So until that time, keep up the great videos on YouTube. I really enjoyed the last one on cast versus forged wheels.
