Hello all,
I am travelling around Southeast Asia with GT200, currently stuck in Cambodia with an Oil pressure sensor problem.
A bit of back history, I rode from Singapore and planned a servicing stop at the Authorised Vespa Workshop in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The oil change went awry resulting in my scooter requiring an engine overhaul.
After more than a month of waiting for parts for this overhaul, the mechanics put the scooter back together. However, the red oil sensor light keeps coming on.
They have checked the electronics. I also asked if they had put back the rubber o ring at the crankshaft. (attached photo) At first, they were unsure, but then, they said yes later. I am not sure if I can trust them, especially after they didn't tighten my oil cap in the first servicing which damaged the engine and found out that they did not have a feeler gauge when I wanted to check valve clearance.
Is there any way to check if it's there without splitting the cases?
What are the things I should check if the oil pressure light keeps coming on?
Hope to get some useful advice. Thank you so much
