Hello,

Speedo is not working, ABS EFI and ABS lights stay on. What can cause it.

Thanks

on an GTS with ABS the speedo is driven by the real wheel speed sensor via the ABS.

Did you have the rear tire changed recently? ....

The speed ring / tone wheel on the rear could have become bent. Or the sensor for it might not have been installed correctly (apparently if the washers for the screw are missing that can cause problems as the spacing will be wrong?). Of course could also be any of the related wiring but less likely.

With that in place what is the gap to the slotted tone abs wheel AND is that a consistent gap as you rotate the wheel ALL the way around.

PS were there any washers when you took the screw out?

AND as I asked, has the rear tire been replaced recently?

Anyone know if an ASR calibration would fix op's problem?

nope.

asr wouldn't cause abs light or speedo issues. (although the opposite of abs light causing asr issue is possible)

Looks about the same as mine.

Have you checked the fuse for the ABS unit?

Which one is the fuse for the ABS? The ones in the glove box and by the battery are good.

Measured my abs sensor gab in 3 different spots rotating the wheel. 2 spots it fit and 1 spot it didn't. 0.787mm seemed liked the best guesstimate. I wonder what the spec is supposed to be?

Workshop manual says

Sensor distance - tone wheel
> 0.8mm

I don't think it's the tone wheel or sensor anymore (now that you've recently shown enough pics etc.)

I'm thinking it's the ABS unit itself is not happy (as @greaasy said) or wiring somewhere between the ABS and the sensor.

1C001630 seems no longer available from Piaggio. In none of the online stores you can find anything about it or it can not be ordered...

I think you're wrong*. reading the hpe manual for replacing the abs unit (very detailed instructions) it does not mention pads software.

* unusual

"ATTENTION !

The installation and programming of the control unit must be carried out by a Piaggio workshop."

https://www.scooter-center.com/en/control-unit-abs-piaggio-vespa-gts-125-zapma3100-vespa-gts-150-zapma3200-zapma3100-vespa-gts-300-zapm45200-zapm45202-zapma3300-vespa-gts-super-125-zapm45300-zapma3100-zapm45301-vespa-gts-super-300-zapm45200-zapm45202-zapma3300-gp1c001631

From this I concluded that programming with PADS would be necessary. What else could be meant here?

*2016 is non-hpe
