I have a 2022 Vespa Sprint 150 S which I am considering installing a Malossi Multivar variator. Does anyone have experience doing this, will it not only be quicker on accelleration, but also get higher top speed? It maxes on 113 kmh/70 mph today and I do not want it to go slower.

Anyone?

Not sure but I think simply replacing Sprint or Primavera rollers with Malossi 12.5 gram rollers is the best bang for the buck, not life changing but a noticeable difference on take offs and getting up to speed with little worries about reliability and other unintended consequences

I agree. Everyone compares aftermarket varios with the standard one, whereas the standard one can be tuned with lighter rollers and get much the same benefit. I have used Polini and Dr.Pulley variators, and currently have 12.5 gram rollers in the standard variators on my two GTS300s. I gave the Dr.Pulley one away, and the Polini sits in a drawer. Never tried the Malossi one.

just lighter rollers and/or some cvt tuning will probably get you the results you're looking for.

aftermarket variators are nice, especially when paired up with a cylinder kit.

I just installed my Malossi Variator on Monday. I don't see much of a top speed difference but it absolutely accelerates quicker and smoother.

Not sure what the stock weights are on a 2023 Vespa Sprint but the Malossi are 13.5g. Im very pleased with the outcome.

I got the kit from ScooterWest and followed Robot's video

so with out the roller weight information or using the exact same weights you really can make a comparison on the variators performance differences. .

so by using lighter weight rollers that's what you feel in the improved acceleration.
