I am having trouble getting my roll lock to work on my 2009 mp3 I have checked everything I can think of and still no luck. Here is what I have done.
Tone wheel pickups measure 900 ohms and I have cleaned the crap off them
Pressure switch S/C unlocked O/C when pressure applied by hydraulic cylinder
handlebar switch tests ok according to repair manual
microswitch S/C unlocked O/C when moved off normal
Motor works OK when separate 12v applied to terminals
Potentiometer measures 4.26K ohms and and resistance changes smoothly when centre wiper is moved
Also the seat switch measures 3k ohms when seated and 17.5 k ohms otherwise
No warning signals when the ignition turns starts and runs ok on the road
I've run out of ideas I hope somebody else has some. I'm 76 and really need the roll lock its too heavy for me to manoeuvre without it.

Might help to clarify the exact issue and some of the symptoms to backup the electrical tests already performed.

Does the tilt-lock not engage not un-lock?
Are there any beeps or lights when the bike is powered on?
Do you hear any mechanical sounds such as motors or pumps when attempting to lock/un-lock the tilt mechanism.

If you use the forum search for "tilt lock" there are many posts with folks having all sorts of issues with sometimes unexpected solutions.

There are allot of posts of tilt-lock issues being traced to hydraulic fluid or bad fluid in the reservoirs. Seen some others where faulty wiring due to corrosion or things shaking loose has disrupted the tilt lock system.

The tilt lock on these bikes is very finicky and sometimes the only fault is that the bike got locked at a weird angle and doesn't want to un-lock. That's happened to me in parking garages when I tried to park on the ramp. Never trying to park on the ramp ever again, thats for sure.

In one case there was the "mono mod" where a user by the handle "mono" fully removed the hydraulic and suspension-lock components of the bike. That mod shaved allot of weight off the bike and is reportedly working fine. Its just because only the tilt is locked and not the suspension it does bounce and wobble a bit more.

The tilt lock does not work at all. When I turn on the ignition I get a flashing lock warning light only no alarms. I have reverse bled the hydraulic system and get enough pressure to lock the suspension when the motor is operated by an external 12v supply. Do you know how the tilt lock plug numbers? I guess it is
A to C vertically and 1to 8 horizontally. I think its time to check the wiring from the ECU to all the sensors. I want to be certain it is the ECU before spending heaps on repairs.

Cant turn the slotted screw on the end of the motor shaft in either direction looks like I need to take a peek at the manual and pull it apart to see why it is stuck.

oke take the alluminum box apart the 2 sprockets in it aren't alligned any more

There are point on them facing each other reassemble and grease them

Put it manualy on the lock all the way and turn it back 1.5 or 2 whole turns then the pot-meter should be on 12 degrees again

Finally managed to get everything working properly I found an O/C wire going to the left tone wheel. The break was caused by the front suspension flexing and piaggio using unsuitable wire for the job. A special thanks to Maksor for putting me on the right track.
The circuit diagrams are very hard to read when they show a battery lead looping off but not where they have done this

I'm having this issue, do I use a 12v supply to force the motor to the lock position then turn the grub screw 1 5 turns to the left, does it matter what position the screw is to start, thank you

I used the grubscrew to apply the lock and then flicked the switch twice to set the pot in the right position

Sorry for a million and one questions but is the tilt lock microswitch on the caliper side a simple n/o and n/c as I don't think this is working, put a meter on the terminals for continuity and no continuity even when pulling the cable on and off.
