This may sound like the world's most lazy person but I find the SIP website the most dumbfounding experience.

My better half is thankfully a scooter girl and her 125s had the dreaded MOT earlier today failing on leaky front shock absorber. It looks real easy to do and it seems that you can buy the genuine one really easy. The 2 washers, 4 bolts, top nut and star washer are all fine but top and bottom rubbers seems like SIP pick and mix. Is the top rubber different to the lower as try as I may I can't find the top rubber. Went off to two other sites and got the same sinking feeling.

This is just a stop gap scoot and not worrying about upping the spec as soon as she passes her test she can have a nice new Vespa. She has ridden through winter, again so can't take her dedication away.

The other option is ring nearest dealer and see what they can do, whilst I love to support my local dealer, it will get fixed quicker buying online.

Hopefully someone will be able to enlighten me. So that I can warm the spanners up this weekend!

Size depends on type/manufacturer. In the following you will find original Piaggio:

(No 9) Bottom: Hight 10,5mm, Ø in 14mm, Ø out 38mm = SKU 174874
https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/product/rubber-buffer-piaggio-shock-absorber-front-bottom_PI174874

(No 8) Upper: Hight 15,5mm, Ø in 10mm, Ø out 32,5 = SKU 174085 https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/product/rubber-engine-mounting-bush-shock-absorber-15-5x32-5x10-mm-front-top-piaggio_17408510

So they are different…

See exploded draw on sip-website… I prefer to open exploded draw and clicking on the numbers to search parts

New fixing nuts and washers are also essential…
