Bentley used to come and visit me when i was working in the shop. He had a full 10 acres to roam free, but sometimes he would come help me out by scattering wrenches or fasteners around with his nose. He walked very silently, so he was always sneaking up on me. I think mainly he wanted some ear scratching or belly rubbin...i would always oblige.
We also adopted/rescued a grown ass male turkey. He was more of an endearing pain in the butt shop turkey if anything...so i named him FN Turkey. I'd be wrenching under on of my jeeps, farm trucks, or tractor, and he would be RIGHT behind me bumping me with his puffed up chest. He would also purposely scatter ALL my tools and fasteners around in my shop with his feet and wings! It sounds really funny, but man, it was really frustrating. That FN Turkey would follow me all around the property. He would gobble like crazy whenever i would rev the engines on the scooters! We also had a family of ermine who would play peek-a-boo when i was wrenching in the shop as well. Ever since i saves one of them who was trapped in the bottom of a long vertical piece of pipe in my shop, they would come out and play and wrestle with each other about 6' away from me. Part of the ermine diet is eating mice, so they were a VERY welcome addition to the barn!
It was a bummer when the FN Turkey died, but i don't think anybody shed any tears though...well maybe just a few. I was sad to not see the ermine anymore. I don't know where they ended up. Bentley went on to hog heaven a little over two years ago. I still tear up over my lil buddy.
EDIT: i left out the two dogs. All they want to do in life (and i'm not exaggerating) is for them to be chased with my scooters. No, they don't chase after the scooter, they like to "herd" the scooters...being that they're both australian shepherds. I we (the dogs and i) have about a 1/2 mile course/track set up around the property and through the fruit orchard and we go out and session it up for a mile or two. One dog likes to be about 10' in front, while the other dog likes to run right next to my knees. Zipping in and out of obstacles and ducking under tree branches while trying to grab his tail while we're going way too fast for the terrain. I can help but laugh my butt off while this is all going on!

brand spankin new billet clutch cover for my dirtbike...that immediately became a feed bowl...
LOTS of very questionable things going on in this old pic. But luckily the FN Turkey was there to supervise me the whole dang time.

Snow from a couple weeks ago. It was too deep for the P200, so it was hot laps on the little Coleman mini-bike!
