OK ppl, lets see your cats and dogs but try to include some scooter content.

Yesterday morning I read this story about a guy getting a shop cat and I was so jealous, it almost sounded like I could be that guy- with the cat gender language issues and location, and even a cat sitting on a scooter!

https://cheezburger.com/19679493/man-lets-a-stray-cat-into-his-shop-to-hide-from-the-rain-cat-immediately-makes-himself-at-home

So later that afternoon, you'll never guess...

Putting out food & water, the cat can go in and out thru an open window. More as this develops.

Update: Was in and out several times today and not much interested in my modest food offerings. There may be some connection to the fact that today was street market day with waste food on offer for enterprising cats who are familiar with the soft touch vendors...

Hello there!

soon made him/herself at home

up nice and high to keep a good look out

a snip from the linked article, I need same advice!

Happy cat I think

Anyway, back settled in for the nite.

The best kinda threads! Congrats on the new ship shop cat Terry! Hit me with any specific questions. (Cats and doggos are my day job.)

Here is Knucklehead (Big Mama Lu) and Chucklehead (Sqrl) meeting an unmade ET3. (They weren't as impressed as I was.)

Oh HELL YEAH !

I call him/her Sneaky coz I'll need to get up close & personal or get a lucky random view... I'm betting boy cat, dunno why. I haven't yet tried to touch him/her and I'll just take my time. I know not to chase h/h and have given some food. I hope to coax closer with BETTER treats, but any pro tips and trix you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Sneaky is a free ranging street cat I will let come and go thru his/her open window unless I can just use the door when he/she asks. I closed the window for a short while today and Sneaky meowed inquiringly twice, so I opened the window again and he/she left but did not frantically bolt.

Access point

(Had cat snacks on croissant wrapper)

Tucked in for the night

Domestic cats are the minions of Satan. They're dirty, their shit stinks worse than any other domestic pet, and they ruthlessly kill native species yet don't even eat their kill. Yes, I'm a hater. Having said all that, they're cute and fluffy.

Dogs, on the other hand, are man's best friend. If I had the area, I'd have another Jack Russell in a heartbeat. They are the best companions ever.

I picked up these on a two for one sale:

click & clack the tappet brothers

initially they were dubbed paper & plastic because someone bit the plastic nipple off the end of the nursing bottle and swallowed it and then someone else got stuck in a paper bag. but they wound up with Handsome Dan and Mao-Mao when I had to fill out the paperwork.

this is them helping out at the warehouse in the shipping department

this is Handsome Dan supervising me fixing the passenger door handle.

here's Mao-Mao testing boxes for shipping:

at the shop, Tacs was always ready to help:

Bentley used to come and visit me when i was working in the shop. He had a full 10 acres to roam free, but sometimes he would come help me out by scattering wrenches or fasteners around with his nose. He walked very silently, so he was always sneaking up on me. I think mainly he wanted some ear scratching or belly rubbin...i would always oblige.

We also adopted/rescued a grown ass male turkey. He was more of an endearing pain in the butt shop turkey if anything...so i named him FN Turkey. I'd be wrenching under on of my jeeps, farm trucks, or tractor, and he would be RIGHT behind me bumping me with his puffed up chest. He would also purposely scatter ALL my tools and fasteners around in my shop with his feet and wings! It sounds really funny, but man, it was really frustrating. That FN Turkey would follow me all around the property. He would gobble like crazy whenever i would rev the engines on the scooters! We also had a family of ermine who would play peek-a-boo when i was wrenching in the shop as well. Ever since i saves one of them who was trapped in the bottom of a long vertical piece of pipe in my shop, they would come out and play and wrestle with each other about 6' away from me. Part of the ermine diet is eating mice, so they were a VERY welcome addition to the barn!

It was a bummer when the FN Turkey died, but i don't think anybody shed any tears though...well maybe just a few. I was sad to not see the ermine anymore. I don't know where they ended up. Bentley went on to hog heaven a little over two years ago. I still tear up over my lil buddy.

EDIT: i left out the two dogs. All they want to do in life (and i'm not exaggerating) is for them to be chased with my scooters. No, they don't chase after the scooter, they like to "herd" the scooters...being that they're both australian shepherds. I we (the dogs and i) have about a 1/2 mile course/track set up around the property and through the fruit orchard and we go out and session it up for a mile or two. One dog likes to be about 10' in front, while the other dog likes to run right next to my knees. Zipping in and out of obstacles and ducking under tree branches while trying to grab his tail while we're going way too fast for the terrain. I can help but laugh my butt off while this is all going on!

Bentley sorting my KTM fasteners

Bentley sizing up another pink lardy in the shop.

brand spankin new billet clutch cover for my dirtbike...that immediately became a feed bowl...

LOTS of very questionable things going on in this old pic. But luckily the FN Turkey was there to supervise me the whole dang time.

my buddy helping me out when i was working on one of the jeeps.

Snow from a couple weeks ago. It was too deep for the P200, so it was hot laps on the little Coleman mini-bike!

We've always tended to have lots of animals roaming around the place, and some of them are more scooter-curious than others.

Gingersnap definitely owned the Stella.

Josie just enjoys the occasional photobomb and chasing me down the alley.

It was Gingersnap's world. We just lived in it.

She didn't like people messing with her scooter.
