Now after doing some research on the modern PX Vespa l have come to the conclusion that your vespa PX is more turned already don't see them as restrictions but improvement and your half way home !! Now all I have been and done was changed out the cat part of the exhaust and keep your box part with a granini manifold down pipe piece and then drilled air filter 5 8 mills over the jets up the main jet to 98 👍 then you have rid the restrictions by 95% and kept All the others improvement made by vespa technical team 👍 and very cheap to boot still going at 50mph standard set up best way forward soulboy74 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👍

You're still left with a 125 not setup at its peak performance. The euro regulations stuck a cat converter and rev limiter on the 125 to meet emissions standards. Rewind before that and the px weren't just set for top speed etc. things like fuel economy , torque, versus top speed were and still are important to commuters . As such this is why a simple addition of a road 2 etc will push the top end and revs higher than pre euro restricted and restricted scoots. Bite the bullet mate and buy a new exhaust. Even the mk1 px125 was good for 55mph all day long and the later models with cosa clutch would give 6% more top end due to their different affect on gear ratio.

Yes I know you are right ! That's why I have a sip 2 in box waiting for a chance to change out the exhaust system ,! Just if not anything to see if it's not just hipe ! Don't want to just set everything up at once you see l want to see all the difference between each improvement!! Now I have done cat gone 👍 airfiller drilled out 👍 and yes there are differences ! Just don't want to lose reliable transportation!! Is the most important thing so in a few weeks l will try out the sip 2 🤟 with the jet upgrade to 101/02 do you think it is about right size for all l have done so far ??
