Hi guys. Got the 1st ride on my 0 mile 2009 mp3 today on a nice 60 F day here with a buddy. Felt and ran great. I didn't push it too hard and stuck to local roads but definitely a fun ride if a bit different. The wheel lock feature is mostly why I bought it with a broken right ankle, and it certainly came in handy at stops and was pretty easy to get used to. My long legs weren't happy with the seating position tho so I still found myself carefully toeing earth just before locking up just to stretch. I also ran across a nice 2009 Scarabeo 500 and picked that up to replace the SC 250 I crashed after a hit and run idiot ran me off the road. I'll probably sell the mp3 after my ankle heals as I find Scarabeos a better fit for me. I'll have fun mp3'ing around town in the meantime tho Cheers, Ron

Be extremely careful if the bike still has the rubber from 10+ years ago. Old rubber is dangerous.

Always put on fresh rubber, even if it was never used, if the tire date code has passed the 5 year mark.

The tire is the only thing between you and the road.

Likewise, you've only got one "original" ankle left.

I was thinking of hanging onto it for a while yet,but have a SC 500 taking residence next week and can use the room. It has maybe 40miles on it. I'm new here and not sure what the rules are or how to PM someone, but here's the pic I have. Cheers, Ron
