Lol - I live in one of the currently soggy portions of CA. My Liberty is my commute vehicle. I got it in December, and I swear I've put more miles on it in the rain than in the sun. I have no windshield.
That said, my girl handles quite well in the rain. With proper gear on, I don't even notice it! (Really, the waterproof armoured pants I borrowed from my husband sealed the deal. I'm riding in high winds, on crappy - but familiar - roads in pouring rain, and am warm and comfy and enjoying the ride! And after, I just take off the riding gear and start my work day!)
Good for you!
Yes,
familiar roads are what keep me calm on so many foggy, rainy and freezing night rides....a key point! Every one of my rides starts in the dark.
And yes - getting 'proofed' to the rain.. and spooling along can be kind of a Zen-like thing...as the rain ticks off you helmet like a storm of Cheerios.
Fogg-tog
over-pants and hi-viz rain
over-jacket from OXFORD worn over the appropriate armored pants and jacket keep me snug....riding
and Group W bench coffeedrinking (under an awning).
It's a great little scooter - ride safe out there, and post some pictures if you get the chance, please.
