Super excited, after 6+ years with my 300 super, was able to spring for a new HPE2 Super Sport that is coming in the next few days.
Since the rainy season is coming to FL soon, I have been looking around for a Mid-size windscreen, no luck. The handlebar cover is very different than the previous GTS's, wider any with a pitch.
Checked SIP, Scooter West and a bunch of other vendors, they are not stocking them yet. They do stock the large OEM, but its way to big for me.
Has anyone been able to adapt any mid-size to the 2023?
Thanks J.

Better to cut down the large screen to the height you want. I have the short screen on my 2023 but it is too short. In holding the Faco twin up to it the supports don't line up with the holes in the screen. Lostboater managed to get a medium to work but had to use spaces and Drexel out around the headlight from what I recall. You can probably find his post by searching the forum.

The headlight angle seems to be the problem, would have to chop off around the hole.
I found a guy in town that can cut the large one, worst case for me, I still like the Faco mid-size

Congrats on your new Vespa, the mid sized screen should keep the bugs out of your teeth. Welcome to MV,

Hi sheepdog, can you post more pics of the vespa with mid screen? I have the same Vespa model year and I'm looking for a windshield, the mid sized one is my first choice at the moment but was not available and also not possible to see it at the dealer.

I ordered the Faco tall windshield also from SIP for the 2023 as I hadn't found anyone in the US who had the 2023 Facos in stock. My intention was to cut it down but I have several old windshields in my garage from various bikes. Some of which are Facos so out of curiosity I decided to try one of the mid height but fairly narrow windshields. First I laid it over the tall windshield and saw that the holes were the same distance apart which meant the supports would be in the right place. I did notice that the headlight opening on the 2023 specific shield was slightly wider at the bottom but thought there would probably be enough clearance so worth a try. Putting it on using the rest of the 2023 hardware (black vs the silver that came with the smaller shield and my GTS is the white with black trim SS) I found that the inward curve at the very bottom of the headlight opening would clear with 1/4-3/8 inch space. While It would probably look better if I dremeled it straight instead of curving inward the who purpose of trying this windshiled was to not have to cut down the tall windshield myself. So I put the windshield on and carefully lined up so the spacing at the tightest point was even.

Then I put on my jet helmet and went for a ride. With the shield down it was very, very quiet. With the goggle length eye protector shield down there was a bit of wind noise but not much even at 60-65mph. So I went home and put on my full face for the real test where I hopped on the freeway and reached 82mph where with the short screen the wind noise, even with earplugs was brutal. Note, both helmets were worn with 33dba noise reducing earplugs as I want to protect my hearing. At sub 40mph it was quiet as could be. From 45-65 there was slight noise. At 70+there was some noise but not bad. especially compared to the noise with the short screen and I didn't have the strong wind on my chest as I do without a windscreen. I find riding over 60mph without a windscreen to be tiring due to the wind on my chest and a slight tendency for my helmet to want to lift if I'm not leaned forward somewhat. Wind noise at 60+ with this screen or with no screen was not significant.

The difference between whatever FACO screen it is I have on now and the OEM mid screen is primarily the width. Come winter I may want to go ahead and cut down the tall FACO for the extra width and hand protection it like the OEM versions offer but for summer this will work well.

Got my medium 2023 Piaggio windscreen three weeks ago from SIP. Caught them in stock for a very short time, and jumped.
