Would this crank be good to go with VMC 244 on VR-One cases?

Currently I'm running this with Malossi Sport cylinder:

Was also thinking of swapping only the conrod to a longer one, but the rod alone is over 200eur.
I'm using the first one with the Quattrini 252 on VR One cases. No issues at all, it's been a good crank for the last 4000km. But the case needed to be spindled to fit it.

Sip sell these cases pre spindled out; for those put off by the machining, I'm sure it's a game changer.

Cheers!

I think the VMC 244 design and thus recommendations are aimed towards the most common setup which includes stock cases and rotary intake. I think 60mm stroke is the most that you can get reasonably with rotary intake.

My cases have already been spindled so I'm positive that the crank will drop right in. Also for what I've read the VMC port timings are really on the conservative side so packing the cylinder up a notch should not make them too high.

Order for cylinder kit and crank is now placed.

Here is another option too, I bought a 127mm rod kit from Scooter Center and build up a 60mm crank I had on the shelf. It's flowed for a reed and works a treat.

I find it so funny they make these performance cases with the elestart hole as if someone whos building such a motor is gonna put a heavy ass flywheel in there. Maybe im wrong, but seems funny,silly.

Touring riders use electric start. They build big, high-torque motors and are more concerned with broad power bands so they don't have to downshift very much, hence running on 200 cases.

Now that the VMC Explorer 244 has been out a few months - I'm curious as to whether anyone has any experiences to share. Since I'm planning to kit my rat rod P200E with the VMC 244, I have lots of specific questions:

* What was your goal: sprint / touring / in-between?
* What carburetor did you go with? Any tips on jetting?
* Reed or valve induction?
* Which crankshaft? 60mm or 64mm stroke?
* Ignition? Guessing VAPE, but road? Sport? Touring (seems like a good bet, since you can switch between road and sport modes).
* Gearing?
* Exhaust?
* Braking - I guess front disc is a must, at least?
* Is there anything you wish you'd done differently?
* What else should I be asking?
