Even though I hardly use the tilt lock function, the red light came on the other day.
Bike starts and has full power, but red light is on and tilt lock switch needs to be pressed twice quickly to make the light go out. No alarm horn sounds.
A forum search revealed this can be due to several factors.
Battery getting old. Mine is about 3 years old, so probably nearing the end. I have a tester and will test it over the weekend. I have spare batteries to drop in if needed.
FYI, the charging system is working and putting out 14,7 volt on average and the indicator on my Optimate pigtail charge lead indicates the bike is putting out over 14 volt as well
Dirty front wheel sensors. I will take a looksie and give them a wipe
A broken seat sensor. I still have the original saddle and can swap to test if needed
Electrical gremlins (connection issue)
Anybody has any other input??? It'd be greatly appreciated
