Can anyone help me find this crossbrace attached to the mirrors? I've exhausted all my sources, cant find it anywhere. Please post a link if you know a vendor that carries it.

Are you sure this isn't homemade?
The brackets on the mirror, the corner connectors and in between a few rods with thread... Where did you get the picture? |

The pic came from a elcheapo windshield ad on ebay. I ordered it as a spare replacement. Saw this crossbrace, thinking it could be a superb option to mount stuff. I know that I like it tho.
The link posted above worked for me. Only $35. |

I see that is intended as a "safety" device to "protect" childrens' chests whilst standing on the floorboards during a ride.
Hmmmm. |

Remember this is from China. In many countries there will be three or four riders on a scooter, with a pig or two strapped on the back. I certainly won't be carrying any kids standing on the floorboard on my scooter, but as far as the rider goes, what's the difference between this and the padded crossbar I have on my dual sport motorcycle, and have had on many dirt bikes? It does look like it might obstruct the riders view of the instruments.

The difference is the sharp edges on the corners, which could prove devastating in a crash.
You aren't allowed to start a bicycle race if your handlebars aren't plugged (because of the potential danger) but I see cheap kids bikes with giant, hollow axle pegs. They are incredibly dangerous. |
