Ok, I pick up a 07 lx 150 with no keys, yes I got the title and last registration from 2015. Guy lost his keys and it's been sitting in his backyard coverd for years. So i was offered to take it for a couple hundred. Thought about it for sec and said sure, why not. My first thought was I have an 09 lx 150, but a few years ago, I was hit by a car and the bike leg sheild was damage, long story short, got paid from insurance, slap it out the best I can, replace some parts and been riding it ever since. I was thinking about swapping my keys and locks out of the 09 to the 07. Then I was thinking maybe do a frame swap, not knowing if the 07 will run, or if it has any other issues, then I was thinking why not have two and figure out how to gets keys, locks to match the immobilizer in the bike and hope it runs good.
Decisions decisions decisions.

seems like you have the 07 Vespa without keys. So the deal has been done and now the question is can you have two functioning Vespa's or not...
I believe you can get a set of keys and the immobilizer for about $500 or less.
So you could just get a new set and replace it out and you will have a functioning LX150 for decent price.
Not sure if it is good value or not..

Ah, a fellow New Yorker, yes, I have the 07, grey one in the picture, just trying to decide what route to go. Trying to decide if I want to have two or just make one good one.. when i bought it i originally thought of just making one good one, now im thinking why waste one

If you have the $'s then go for it. You will have variety and enjoy them differently.

You could buy a non immobilizer CDI box from EBay for it and a set of lock cylinders. You could also remove the seat cylinder, take a blank key to a locksmith and he could duplicate it without buying a new lock set. You still have to get the master and accessory key programmed to the CDI. The non immobilizer CDI's will make it run but do not have the exact timing curve, rev limiter set like the OEM CDI. Also you are open for easy theft.
