Question: When deleting the charcoal canister on a 2021 MP3 500 (US version), has anyone moved the tip-over valve externally (under the left side panel) to maintain its no-fuel-leak feature? It's easy to just remove the tip-over valve and protect the hose from the fuel tank with a fuel filter but I wonder if anyone has elected to keep that tip-over valve and has found an easy and effective way to mount it under the left side panel. Obviously, the valve needs to be mounted in its upright position. Thanks for any suggestions.

I removed the emissions assembly
Started the bike, plugged the hose with vacuum
Leaving the vent hose inside the trunk made the trunk smell like fuel, after filling
Shoved the vent hose into the cavity between the trunk & side cover

I was too lazy to pull the side cover off to install the check valve thing & left the plugged line in the trunk

Since the MP3 has a low tank & the vent is much higher, it would be very difficult to have fuel leak in the event of a tip over
The vent hose would have to let air in & fuel out, any leakage would be minor & only possible if the bike was laying on it's right side

I removed the whole EVAP canister system. Just make sure to mark which hose is which incase you have to fix something or put it back. I forgot to mark the hoses and now its a mystery which is which. Oh well.

Both hoses are plugged with some 1/4 in machine screws I had around the garage and secured with zip ties to tighten the hoses around the screws so they do not fall out. The two hoses are tucked between the side panels and luggage box and secured to the frame with another zip tie to keep them from moving around. Fully removing the hoses was too much effort.

Its been about 2 years and a few thousands of miles since the operation and I have had zero issues with fuel, engine, anything. The added cargo-space is great.

Thanks, Garthhh and Pinheadh78. Took your suggestions and just tie-strapped the breather hose under the left side panel. She's all buttoned up with lots more under seat storage. I did use some solid grommets and auto trim fasteners to dress up the holes left from hoses and brackets (see photo).

The hose going to the tank shouldn't be plugged the one going to the intake should be plugged
