Makes me wonder whether there are big scooter factories in Nigeria and Brazil. And if not, why not, when all the other countries in the chart have them.

A quick Google says the top selling motorcycle brand in Brazil is Honda. Honda have a factory in Brazil.
If 85% of Indonesian households have one and 87% of Thailand then Indonesia has almost 4 times as many motorcycles.
Then India at 47% has almost 10 times as many as Thailand. Maybe more people per household so divide by 5 is still more than Thailand.
So China has the most motorcycles.
I think what this reveals is that Thailand is the best country to go to in order to do research.
Maybe factor in how many kids they have or how many multi-family households to have a true picture of scoot use?
Per household in a country where people make babies like rabbits or live all jammed together has to accounted for?
MC's & motorbikes get counted, or not? Mexico for one e.g. has many pizza bikes, but you see few scoots.
