I have trouble reading grey text on an off white background which is common on web pages

Dark Mode for the web pages
This works for Chrome, Vivaldi & some others
Not a 3rd party extension

Paste this on the address bar:
chrome://flags/
You may need to type dark mode into the search flags box on the page

Doesn't work on Firefox. You must install an add-on (and I'm still not sure it would work).

On the Mac you can setup the appearance to be on auto and throughout the day the desktop changes the color of the background of the screens. So at night chrome gives me a black background and during the day it will make it white.

I used to use a dark mode extension for chrome as well, but it always breaks the browser-based email service that I use for my business.

Just letting you know this because it took me over an hour to figure out that was the problem the first time it happened. Everything else, but that one site, worked great. No idea why.

That being said, if you find some website has randomly stopped working since installing the extension, and the other 99.99% of the internet works fine, try removing the extension, that may fix it!
