Hi

I've owned my 2018 GTS 300 for a bit more than a year now and am loving it - so far no issues whatsoever. As I plan to keep the scoot long-term, I was hoping to get some advice on what spares to proactively have in store to cover the most common issues that may suddenly occur (I'm thinking about common faults that are easy to fix with the right parts at hand).

My list so far:
- brake light switches
- exhaust gasket
- starter relay

Anything to add?

Thanks,
Holx

All the consumables like oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, led bulbs for the turn signals etc and fuses would be good additions to your list. I would think adding a water pump rebuild kit would be something to possibly have.
The intake oil filter and O-Ring and the corresponding nut would also be good to have as a spare.

Scratching my head for anything not mentioned yet. I'm guessing you're not really looking at consumables...

After cracking my injector, I keep a spare...someone here pointed me towards a much cheaper one on eBay that's like $20 atm......

Not sure how often cutoff switches actually fail, but someone who'd sold their GTS gifted me his extra one......which I've not needed in nearly 8 years.....but then, insurance.. Nerd emoticon

Having burned out a couple of headlight bulbs while on extended trips, I carry a spare.

The main issue I've had with vehicles has always been punctures.

Having a spare set of wheels with tyres mounted is extremely useful, so you can swap one over and still get around.

As a plus, when dropping off a single wheel for a new tyre, I never have to book this in. I just turn up at the shop unannounced, and drop it off - whereas if you're taking your vehicle there, you normally have to book a set time, wait around etc.

I agree Mike. A spare scooter is the most important thing to have.

Or, second best, a spare HIMALAYAN - would you agree, Steve?

Spares to keep long after you've gotten rid of the scooter?

I have an exhaust gasket in my glove box, in case I have to have my rear tyre changed.
