Want to retorque my vmc cylinder head, what is best practice?
Just nip up with torque wrench, loosen the nuts slightly then tighten or slacken them right off then go through the process of gradually doing them back up again.

I guess the question is why? Just to check or? When I check mine during heat cycling I put torque wrench on verify it clicks and keep going.

You could set it to a lower torque, try it and then torque to the correct spec. if you are worried about it.

Thanks guys Just wanted to check the head is buttoned up after a few heat cycles and thought maybe the obvious way wasn't right, probably overthinking it.
