how did the jump start go? Any problems / observations? Short circuit produced?
What problems / symptoms are you noticing? Is it currently running? Where are you from? Fuses checked? |

I forgot the key in the ignition turned on for 7 days,
It was completely dead so I tried giving it a boost from a car that was turned on (mistake). It still didnt do anything. I took out the battery and put in a new battery fully charged, still nothing, completely dead. I'm from Miami. I checked all fuses, all look good. thank you. |

Then you changed the battery of the Vespa and still nothing works? Speedometer remains dark, other consumers (lights, indicators, horn, fuel pump, helmet compartment opening, etc.) without function? New battery connected correctly? Screws tight? Polarity not reversed? Open-circuit/no-load voltage measured? All fuses checked (old 6x glove box, 2+1 under helmet compartment or new 6x glove box and battery box)? |

That's correct, I made the connection between vespa and donor, then turned on the donor vehicle, then tried starting the vespa.
No twitching, noises, or anything at all, complete silent. Changed the battery, nothing works, nothing has function. New battery was connected properly with screws tight , voltage was not tested but I did charge the battery in my home until it was fully charged then immediately installed it to vespa. I only checked the 6 fuses of the new vespa, I haven't checked the ones in the battery box. I will do so. Anything else in mind? |

Check main fuses in battery box or under helmet carrier -> depends on date of manufacture where fuses located (battery/under helmet box). Measure ALL fuses not only visual check. If you don't have a voltmeter, you can get one for $10 on Amazon or at a hardware store. Almog wrote: Anything else in mind? |

For the record, I have jumped my BV350 from a running car with no issues. So, yes starting with the basics it the best course of action.

If the Vespa really makes NO sign of life, it can really only be battery (defective, empty, incorrectly connected) or fuse (defective). So clarify first, before we guess around here...

When you have a dead battery on one end, it is hard to get the dead vehicle started as the dead battery needs to come up in power to start or it leeches it off. But you have a new battery so then it moves onto the starting circuit - brake light switch, ignition switch, relay, kick stand switch (if applicable), fuses, etc....

That may well have blown if your battery was completely flat, depending on how you hooked up the jump cables. The car running should have made no difference - but it's totally unnecessary when jumping a Vespa, which takes far less starter motor current than a car. As above, don't just eyeball the fuses, measure them, and inspect the connections they fit into. |

I would like to really thank all you guys for all the very helpful information and guidance.
It did end up being the fuse by the battery box. Vespa turns on and runs perfect. Thank you so much
