My advice is not to do it by yourself alone, make sure you do it in front a mechanic (or he does it), as this is the brake and not anything else : like fixing the mirrors etc...

you advice is Meh on this, no reason not to adjust your PARKING brake by your self very easy to do.

I re- read it again, I read it fast the last time and in my mind I thought to change it, that was my advice, you are right, adjusting is not that risky.
