Hi, I have a vespa lx50 2 stroke, when my mechanic did a service on it last year he told me to make sure it had a number 9 spark plug in it because the cylinder would get too hot and wear out.
I recently had trouble with it bogging down at full throttle after replacing the air filter to a malossi double red sponge (even though you don't need to change gets for that one according to them, also has a silent pro exhaust and is derestricted), he upjetted from a 52 to a 63 and it runs great now.
I check the plug and it is a number 8 now.

Is this ok or should I change for a 9?

Thanks

I reread your post and saw the bit about up jetting ... I'll walk away now as my comments are now not so relevant

Ok but thanks anyway.

My mechanic says the 9 was too cool so he swapped it for the 8 so it's fine
