Modern Vespa

Well finally bit the bullet on a new GTS125 super for my other half. We went to Robinsons Foundry over at Cantebury they had the last years model in white. We choose the look of 2022 classic styling against the modern switches on the 2023 year and the wheels also look a bit more pot hole friendly on last years model. I have heard that the new suspension on the 2023 year is better with the extra point but the my GTS 300 Supertech has been fine so not really feeling the issue.

We will be picking her up next Thursday and hoping the weather is good so that we have a run out to Margate, then back to Rye.

Hoping the weather improves by then, something about spring and getting out there again!

Definitely strange weather at the moment, and very high winds - but looks much better next week on the South Coast

Well we made it to Margate 120 miles round trip. Weird day though filled up at Brenzet and a woman drove off with £90 of fuel in her hurry to exit she flew onto the roundabout without looking and caught another car With some old fellow driving. The guys from the garage chased after her but she continued on at speed.Needless to say she did not stop to exchange details with the old boy.
We arrived at Margate and went for late lunch at a Thai restaurant more or less across the road from the Turner gallery. Fantastic food but a party of eight decided there was some steel in the food refused to pay and one by one left. Apparently the second time they have pulled this scam. It took the gloss off a great lunch, I suggested they ring the police report to insurer and never let these people eat in their restaurant again. It was a great ride but a disappointing day for humanity.
