Modern Vespa

I ordered this brake cable for my et4

The one sent didn't have a part number but upon inspection it's a few inches longer than my original and it doesn't have that rubber sleeve that protects it from the clamps on the side of crankcase. See pic

Did they send the wrong one?

Exact Modell and year?

Front / rear?

Link says "This is a Genuine Vespa Spare part in original Piaggio packaging." -> there should an part number on packaging.

2005. Rear

I emailed them and they basically said it's right. Just piaggio changes vendors all the time or something. Seems odd cause it's longer and it doesn't have the protective layer but I can give it a try.

I don't think you'll have any problems. The excess length can be contained under the floorboard. Hook it up and see how it works!
