The weather is so nice the wife and I decided to go for a short scooter ride, first thing I noticed was my speedo wasn't working but we continued with the short trip because her speedo was working. Then I noticed the odometer was working just fine?
My scooter is a Super 300, analog gauges.
Any idea what the problem with the speedo could be – I did not check anything yet?

For reference on my Vespa and suspect all other Vespas the odometer is tied in with the speedo.

My bike has spent all its life, thirteen years in the desert and plastic things melt. The speedo needle stop melted and the indicator needle somehow got over the stop. So, when I noticed the speedo not moving it was because the needle was on the wrong side of the stop being pushed into the stop as I rode – the odometer continued to work fine.
Took it apart and tried to bend the stop but it broke almost immediately even as I used a heated needle nose pliers. Heated up a push pin, pushed it in where the old stop was, cut the top off, dab of glue, covered the pin with a yellow wire insulator to add some color and now all is well.
While it's apart replaced the clock battery and added brake fluid.

Good man, I love when the unfixable gets fixed through dogged determination and imagination.
