Adding new 190 kit to et4 and base gasket ripped right here. I obviously don't have a new one and it would take awhile to get one. Is it ok where it is (outside if bolt)

Can I buy some gasket maker or something if it's an issue

Should be fine. A little gasket smear wouldn't hurt either.

Gasket smear meaning the stuff in the tube?
I threw an old tube out a month ago 😤
I could run to store and buy some. Any suggestions?

Any kind of temp rated sealer will work. Shellac or RTV. Neighbors have anything you can use? Dont need much. Worst case, you're probably fine just bolting it down and moving on. Gasket is nice and fresh and sealing surfaces look clean.

^^^ MJ's got it.

agree that it's not ideal, but it's on the outside of the stud so it should seal up without an issue.

if you do throw some sealant there, do so sparingly. the oil feed orifice is right there and you don't want any squeezing out and into there. a tiny dab would be more than enough.
