I think you're a little low on those price points. while the market has corrected slightly, it's also headed into the worst possible time to buy a bike.

you can certainly find bikes at those prices, they're just gonna be clapped out beaters.

I agree. I'm hoping my mechanic friend runs across one. He bought several between December and February in that range but didn't know I was looking. If not I'll have to wait for winter and hope the market drops. Or that I can increase my budget somehow.

Greasy's right. If you find something in that range it will need work. Or you can shell out $2500-3000 for something more ready to go. That's the local market.

VintageScoot,

You really clarified the issue. That was also my understanding.
I do sell policies for them

Thanks,

I'd go hit this guy up. The bike is cherry by the looks of it and he's been hanging at this price for a while. Knock a few hundo off and you're good to go.

even at full pop, that's honestly not a bad deal.

you're gonna have to do a rear tire right off the bat, but other than that it might be ready to ride out of the gate.

Buddy 125 is an excellent scooter, nearly as fast as Modern 150cc Vespas.
I had a 2016 last summer, what a capable, fun, raw little machine it was.
I should have kept it but it is so much easier and cheaper to keep only 1 or 2 motorbikes purring. I think half the battle is to run them weekly or more.

Brilliant! Those two Buddies are some nice examples of getting into the efficiency of the scooter world. The bonus is the OP doesn't have to worry as much about navigating the insurance matrix over the premium Vespa brand. Ride the Buddy for a few years, save your nickels and then get the dream Vespa.
