Hey guys, I'm starting a rebuild on my 91 PX and I have noticed there is a 10mm gap at the top of my glove box and the leg shield are these just a rough fit?

Did you buy genuine Piaggio or aftermarket? The reason I ask is that I restored an '87 PX200e in 2021 and used a genuine glovebox that I had bought in 1998 but never used. It was a perfect fit (with the rubber installed). The parts that are available now may not be to the same standard as they were 25 years ago!

Did not know that…

Not a huge fan of the square looking PX glove box.

Always wondered if there was a smaller rounder one to fit.

You have to modify around the steering column so it pulls in tight top and bottom.

Adding or removing material around that area?

Or a bit of metal shaping work?

Removing and trimming the side panels so it all pulls in tight to the leg shield, a little trimming here and there

To be honest I like later glove box more cos it have much more space. But despite I have one on the shelf I not put it on my P - I want that it have more original parts as possible.

Oh for sure larger is more practical, but not a super fan of the square corners.

Similar to the arcobaleno horn, prefer the lusso style.

But Lusso and Arcobaleno identical. P is another.

Ah my bad, I always associate the lusso with the P style.

Maybe because of the endless google searches to find the earlier PX bike references.
