Examples please.

Are you talking about "verbalization" of company names (Google -> googled)?

He/she/it is/was Vespa-ed.
I'm Vespa-ing to shopping.

Vespa is a noun/adjective not a verb. Although to "shoot through" maybe a verb.

Poking around the interwebs a little, it looks like "vespaing" comes up fairly often without too much explanation--plus one for some attestation. It looks weird to my eyes (wanting to be pronounced "ves paing"), but less weird than having a hyphen, even if that makes the intention more clear. I'd vote for "vesping", but there seems to be little attestation and it does sound unfortunately like "vaping" to my ear.

It's an American thing to make nouns into verbs. "Hospitalized", "Memorialized", "Burglarized" (what's wrong with "burgled'?) etc, etc.

In some cases it makes good sense, in others it's either lazy or ignorant.

In Dutch writing it would be "vespaïng". The double point above the i meaning a new syllable starts at that point to make clear it is not "ves-paing" but "ves-pa-ing".
This "trema" (it seems you call that a "diaeresis", what a word is that) is common in dutch writing but I do not know it is used in english writing, I guess not.

And in some cases, it's proper modern American English, which is distinct from the rather archaic British English. "Burgled" sounds decidedly archaic to me.

Do you mean the hamburglarizer?

Burgled sounds right to me, otherwise the act of being burgled by a burglarizer would be burglarizerfication.

Likely because you reside in the UK, where that form is preferred.

Is burglarized really used in the US? it does sound so strange!

Then again, the list is probably endless for the different uses of words and give so much scope for making them up.

Yes, but there are other forms that might be more common. "Robbed" would be high on that list, and the event might be described as a "break-in".

And here's a history of the usage of the two forms (burgle and burglarize) pointing out exactly what we've arrived at in this thread: that burgle is common in the UK, while burglarize is common in the US.

Ironically, though, the earliest known form of each came from the opposite shore.

if I needed a verb for riding (specifically) a Vespa, I would probably look at the noun vape from which they drop the vowel to turn it into the verb vaping..

so Vesping
