I have a 1965 vespa sprint with no engine number stamped on I have only the 2 matching number on the case on the rear but nothing on the tab by the exhaust
Any one know if can be normal for the age ?

Looks like possibly an engine swap at some point in its life. Case-match stamps usually of that vintage were a smaller, and shallower stamping. Does the engine have a reed-valve or is it rotary-valved? Pics of the flywheel / carburetor area would give some of the 'eagle-eyes' on this site more to work with and possibly give you more info.

Could be dealer replacement cases.

Piaggio would provide unstamped cases (and frames) to dealers to replace damaged/destroyed scoots. The frames would have the prefix stamped. However the engines cases (that I have seen) did not even have the prefix stamped. I have a set of ET3 cases completely unstamped.

FWIW, YMMV, etc
