Yesterday, I rode about 6 hours with an open faced helmet over the countryside. I keep my mouth mostly closed when I ride.

I noticed my throat was a bit angry last night, and this morning I sound like an old school blues singer who's been singing in a smokey club all night!

Got a big trip planned soon which will likely be 6 hours of riding per day for 5 straight days.

Just wondering if my throat / body will adjust to this, or whether I should consider wearing a fabric head tube to cover my mouth and nose?

we're in the midst of tree pollen season (I suffer a bit with it early spring)

worth trying antihistamines?

Ah! I was focused on thinking that being in the countryside meant cleaner air, but I hadn't considered pollen!!

That's a great idea, thanks!
