Hi, I have a 2022 Liberty 150cc S, has anybody installed a Malossi Force Master 2.1? The problem that I'm having is that the OBD plugs don't match ( the red one is the force master and the black one is the Liberty). Can someone please help me how to figure this out?

Thank you in advanced. Picture attached for reference.

I'm betting that it's the wrong force master for that model ...

which exact Liberty model do you have?
which engine number M892M MA42M MD42M M892M?
which frame/vin number RP8M89200xxxx RP8MA4300xxxx RP8MD4200Lxxxx ZAPM898Gxxxx

checking https://www.easyparts.nl/models/Piaggio-Liberty-150-Basic-Sport-m26585 I see that's the ABS 3V E3 NAFTA. then I check https://www.malossistore.asia/en/all-models and see the ABS iGet E3, I think this is the same bike. clicking that I get https://www.malossistore.asia/en/piaggio-liberty-iget-abs-150-ie-4t-euro-3-pili150ig-M which doesn't list any Force Master as an option. Checking the E4 on malossi also doesn't list the Force master. Looking at the E5 does show the the Force Master 2.1. I think what you've got is not gonna work

Malossi has an adapter kit for the later forcemasters to work with different plugs. It looks like that's what you need.

The problem you will run into is that you are not looking at Malossi's site. You are looking at the site of their Hong Kong distributor, who doesn't carry all the different parts Malossi has. On their own B2B site, Malossi lists the NAFTA bike, and the Force Master that should fit.

damn. I've always been frustrated that malossi redirects me using geolocation. didn't realise the HK distributer had such different lists

The only malossi store that malossi operates is the one in Italy. The US malossi store site is run by the Belgian distributor. They do provide the platform, obviously, but don't run the sites. Here in the US, there was a company that grabbed a Malossi domain names and for years people were convinced they were the actual Malossi distributor for the entire US.

something that is bugging me about Motovista's suggestion that there is an adapter cable ...

that diag port on your liberty only has k-line not can-bus. the diag port on the newer liberty has only can-bus not k-line.

the red plug on your fm2.1 is designed to connect to a diag socket with can-bus. is the fm2.1 smart enough to work with k-line if that cable from the fm to the diag port is swapped or is the fm2.1 only able to work with can-bus? I'm doubtful

so will be interested to hear how you go
