New to this group. So glad you all are here. I just got a barely driven 2016 MP3 Sport. There is a button that unlocks the seat, but anyone can push that button and take whatever I leave under the seat. How can I actually lock the seat so that the button won't work until I put the key in? If I push the key into the ignition and turn toward the lock symbol, it can still be unlocked using the button. Is this just something broken on my MP3?

If the key is turned to the LOCK position, then all buttons are disabled including the one for the seat release

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure that it is broken rather than being a stupid design. I have an appointment with the nearest Vespa dealership to get that fixed, and the steering colomb straightened. I have dropped 3 times already and I think that last one twisted the steering column so that when the front wheels are straight, the handlebars are turned a little to the right.

Blessings,
Michael

When you turn the key to the LOCK position, are you sure the handlebar is turned fully to the left???

IIRC, the bike is not in the locked position unless the handlebar is fully turned to the left
